Community Service Project and Fund Raiser
For over 30 years, the scouts of Troop 611 have proudly served the Happy Valley and Clackamas communities by recycling natural Christmas trees. (*no flocked trees)​​

This holiday season, we’re pleased to offer recycling on the weekends of December 28-29, and January 4-5. Schedule a curbside pickup by clicking the green button or alternately you are welcome to drop off your tree at Rite Aid, 12002 SE Sunnyside Road, Clackamas, OR.
Recycling Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on all dates
How to Schedule Your Pickup

Our service area covers all Happy Valley, Oregon addresses within the red border on the map, as well as nearby Clackamas, OR addresses. If you're near or just outside the border, don't worry—we're happy to recycle your tree!

Q: When do I place my tree curbside?
A: Remove the tree from your home and place it curbside 8 am day of pick up.
Clearly mark "Troop 611" on a note paper, if you did not donate electronically, please put your donation in a plastic bag, securely tied to the tree.
The scouts start picking up trees at 9 am.

Q: We forgot to schedule the pickup. Is it too late?
A:Same day & requests after 5 pm the night before scheduled pickup days are not guaranteed. If your request is received late, place your tree out on your curb anyway. Chances are our crews will pass by and pick it up. It's never too late, unless it is Sunday, January 5, 2024 after 3:00 pm. Then it's too late.

Q: Did I miss the Tree Recycle?
A: No - December 28, 29 and January 4, 5 are our work days. If it is January 6, then we hope to see you in 2025/26. Thank you all for your support.

Q: I have a flocked tree. Will you pick it up?
A: Flocked trees will not be picked up. They cannot be recycled.
